Privacy policy

This is a translation for convenience. The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung.

In short

• This website sets no cookies.
• There is no tracking, no analytics scripts and no advertising.
• No third-party services are embedded: fonts, images and scripts are all served from this server.
• The only data processed are server log files with a shortened IP address (deleted after 7 days), an access statistic generated from them and, if you write to me, your email.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically stores information that your browser transmits:

• IP address of the requesting device, shortened by its last two parts (11.22.33.44 becomes 11.22.0.0)
• date and time of access
• requested page or file and amount of data transferred
• HTTP status code
• referrer URL (the previously visited page, if transmitted)
• browser type and version, operating system

This data is needed to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in operating the website securely and without errors. The IP address is shortened before it is stored, so no conclusions about individual persons can be drawn. Log files are deleted automatically after 7 days. The data is not combined with other data sources.

From these log files the host generates a simple, aggregated access statistic (e.g. number of page views, most visited pages, browsers used). It is generated on the server only, can only be viewed by me and works without cookies, tracking scripts or third-party services. The legal basis is also Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is to understand, in broad terms, how the website is used.

4. Contact by email

If you send me an email, I process your address and the content of your message in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a (potential) contract is concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website does not use cookies. If you manually choose a colour scheme (light/dark) with the “theme” switch, this choice is stored only locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to the server. This is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings or set the switch back to “auto”.

6. Fonts

The fonts used (JetBrains Mono, IBM Plex Sans) are stored locally on this server. No connection to Google or other third parties is made when the page loads.

7. External links

This website contains links to other websites. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you follow such a link. Their privacy policy applies there.

8. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in the address bar.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

• access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
